Matthew is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). Having started his career working with two major firms of chartered surveyors in London, Matthew returned to his West Country roots in 1990. Since then he has specialised in the valuation and management of residential and commercial property and now manages a portfolio of buildings throughout the region. Typically such properties comprise residential, commercial or mixed use buildings. Associated works includes service charge budgeting, advising on remedial or planned maintenance works, lease renewals and extensions, and rent review negotiations.
Acting primarily for owners, Matthew also deals with the sale and letting of commercial property either as investments or occupation.
He lives with his wife on the outskirts of Totnes and in his spare time acts as a Trustee of a local charity, Treasurer of Dartington Squash Club and enjoys long walks with his dog along the South West Coast Path.
