DESCRIPTION

Dove House, is a substantial Grade II Listed property and is believed to be the former estate laundry and manager's house dating from the late 1800s. Slate gabled and hipped roofs with deep eaves make this an imposing building, which is well known for its prominent clock tower. Other details retained for its former use includes a ventilator turret with pyramidal roof on the ridge. There is a tablet set in the gable with the Baring monogram inset. Mention is made of the property in Pevsner's 'The Buildings of England - Devon' and significant reference to the estate in Country Life 29th April 1982. The present owners have carried out many improvements.
